CO-OP AT MAX PLANCK INSTITUTES

Welcome to our website which showcases UBC Science Co-op students’ experience at Max Planck Institutes. Since 2011, our Co-op students participate in exciting research opportunities in various Max Planck Institutes in Germany. Placements range from four to eight months and students work alongside bright scientists in the in the field of quantum phenomena in complex materials. In this site you will find individual profiles of our young Co-op researchers about their interesting projects and their travel experience in Europe.

CO-OP AT UNIVERSITY OF TOKYO

In 2017, University of Tokyo has joined the University of British Columbia and the Max Planck Society in an international partnership designed to advance quantum materials research and innovation. The new partnership has expanded to the Max Planck – UBC – UTokyo Centre for Quantum Materials from Max Planck-UBC Centre for Quantum Materials established in 2010. In the first year, 2018, two co-op students have participated in this new partnership. Individual profiles of our young Co-op researchers will continue be showcased in this site.
